The wedding company that redefined the planning and registry experience.

Zola came to The Working Assembly in 2016 seeking an ongoing brand strategy, creative and design partner. As a disrupter in the wedding industry, they wanted a premium, ownable look and feel that had mass appeal. Our first task was to do a thorough brand audit and create cohesion across their many touch-points. In addition to evolving their brand’s verbal and visual identity, our team developed creative campaigns and design guidance around new product offerings and services.

Brand Book

We created a brand book that established Zola’s unique verbal and visual identity outlining Zola’s brand story, tone of voice, look and feel, and product verticals. All photography came from new assets creatively concepted, produced and executed by our team.

Out of Home

Beginning in 2017, The Working Assembly has developed quarterly creative campaigns for Zola. Our team has developed a total of four national advertising and local OOH campaigns.

Events & Activations

We’re creating immersive brand touchpoints, from traveling roadshows, to influencer events and a new retail pop-up. We also recently completed a new experiential campaign in SF which began as an activation with crowd sourced content.

Look Book

We developed a 16-page editorial look book and direct mail piece from concept, styling, photography through to production, for prospective users that boosted sign-ups by 80%.

The Working Assembly have truly become
part of our team and working with a woman-led business is a breath of fresh air.

ECRM & Social Content

We’ve developed an ECRM strategy and campaign promoting all the ways that Zola makes wedding planning easy. The Working Assembly was responsible for template design, copywriting, development and distribution of all e-mails. Our work with Zola has also included creating engaging paid social content and videos across social platforms including Pinterest, Instagram and Facebook.

Brand Video

We created a series of brand videos that provided clear and concise overviews for their core products—registry, wedding website, invites and paper.
