  • Freelance Web Developer

    We have multiple projects that require front- and back-end development, employing animation, typography, and custom CMS builds within Wordpress. Some projects require ecommerce integration. We also need to bring prototypes from static flats to functional experiences. Needs vary by project, so full stack developers are preferred.

    What you're great at:
    • Building and testing responsive sites from supplied artwork and prototypes
    • Developing highly editable sites via CMS on platforms such as Wordpress
    • Implementing various design projects across Web, iOS, Android and mobile
    • Paying attention to detail
    • Self-initiating problem solving

    Qualifications:
    • 3+ years experience successfully delivering web, mobile and/or software apps
    • Thorough understanding of latest web and mobile UI patterns and trends
    • Proficiency in Sketch, Adobe CC, InVision and other tools
    • Experience with Wordpress and custom CMS development
    • Experience with Shopify and/or other ecommerce integration
    • Understanding of SEO and best practices
    • Ability to iterate quickly and incorporate both user and stakeholder feedback

  • Project Manager

    We are looking for a project manager who is excited to get real hands-on experience in a startup environment. We are looking for someone with strong people skills and has the ability to help manage client and internal relationships. The ideal candidate is well organized, articulate, detail-oriented and a problem solver.

    Some of your responsibilities will include:
    • Monitor day-to-day activities of project teams and ensure work is progressing as planned
    • Develop weekly status documents for clients as well as internal teams
    • Partner with creative teams to manage initiatives
    • Develops strong working relationships both internally and externally
    • Promote and contribute to fostering the company’s culture
    • Provide administrative support to The Working Assembly partners as needed
    • Participate in client meetings and be able to provide actionable next steps
    • Assist with research and content development for presentations
    • Support and assist in new business development initiatives

    Qualifications:
    • 4 year degree
    • 2 years of professional experience, past agency or startup experience preferred
    • An interest in design and creative development
    • Excellent verbal and written skills
    • Strong sense of initiative
    • Organized, efficient and a competent multi-tasker

    We are looking for a talented Brand Manager who can help us manage multiple projects from the initial proposal and brief through production and delivery. You have strong people skills and the ability to manage and foster client relationships. You know how to develop and manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and resources. The ideal candidate is well organized, articulate, detail-oriented and a problem solver. Most importantly, you love seeing great ideas come to life. This person is self-motivated and is looking to get real hands-on experience in a startup environment.

    Some of your responsibilities will include:
    • Manage client’s overall expectations, and understand client’s business needs and goals
    • Brief teams on projects and continuously update internal teams - keeping both client and internal teams up-to-date on project deliverables and timings
    • Has a thorough understanding of strategic development, creative/design development and production, and actively and creatively leads projects to successful completion
    • Has experience with resourcing, managing budgets and timelines
    • Viewed as a leader in providing creative input that improves the creative product
    • Clearly articulates the agency’s agenda and point of view

    Qualifications:
    • 5-6 years of account management experience, managing branding, project management and/or integrated marketing projects
    • Passionate leader of brand, business and consumer insights
    • Excellent at writing creative briefs
    • Strong input on strategy and clear point of view on creative work
    • Has experience creating integrated campaigns across multiple media types, and has an understanding of media strategy and how creative can be effective across varying media channels

The Working Assembly works directly with our clients to strategically tackle rebrands, e-com sites, apps, product and packaging designs, and more. Working here is fun and challenging – that’s why we need a passionate self-starter who works well with others but also isn’t afraid to work independently on a project. We are open to this position being a freelance arrangement to start, but ideally, this is a full-time role.

    • Working fluidly on projects spanning identity, web, print and motion
    • Leading projects from initial conception through final production
    • Managing production processes with internal teams and external vendors
    • Showing great attention to detail
    • Working quickly against tight deadlines and timelines

  • Design Intern

    We are seeking a talented, ambitious graphic design intern to join our forces. The Working Assembly works directly with clients to strategically tackle rebrands, campaigns, product and packaging designs, and more. You'll be participating in the end-to-end creative process with our team, aligning with a strategy to develop visual and design concepts, designing presentations and sample applications with senior designers, and giving and soliciting feedback from other team members to improve work. You'll be working both independently and collaboratively on multiple client projects in a fast-paced, creative and fun environment.

    Qualifications:
    • You're able to work a minimum of 3 full days a week in the office
    • You have strong Adobe Creative Suite skills
    • You have an eye for layout, color, and typography
    • You have an obsession with design and detail

  • Brand Management Intern

    We are seeking a talented, ambitious brand management intern to join our forces. The brand management team is responsible for the implementation, management and execution of all projects within the company. We work directly with clients and internal teams to strategically tackle rebrands, e-commerce sites, apps, product and packaging design, and more. You will be collaborating with the Project Manager to provide day-to-day support across multiple client projects in a fast-paced, creative and fun environment.

    Some of your responsibilities will include:
    • Support day-to-day brand management
    • Develop a basic knowledge of the client from business, industry and competitive perspectives
    • Learn to create timely and accurate reports (meeting notes/recaps, status documents and timelines)
    • Help plan internal initiatives
    • Support and assist in new business development initiatives
    • Assist in monitoring day-to-day activities of project teams and ensure work is progressing as planned

    Qualifications:
    • You're able to work a minimum of 3 full days a week in the office (5 full days for summer interns)
    • You have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
