These protein-packed, dessert-inspired, conveniently-portioned bites needed a new name and identity to match the adventurous spirit that its consumers live by. From the moment you leave your house to when you go home at night, your days are filled with pick-ups, drop-offs, meetings or maybe fresh-air and adventure and Day Out snacks are the protein superfood to keep you fueled.

Formerly known as “Protein Power Ball,” the brand needed a new identity that was dually more emotive, while also giving the brand opportunities to expand beyond the form factor. With “Day Out” we were able to tap into the use case of the product with its rolled form factor, while also adding more narrative to the brand.

Throughout the system, the new Day Out identity was rooted in motifs of adventure and movement. For example, in the “D” of the wordmark, you might notice a rising sun or sunset to imply that every day is a new chance for an amazing day out.

Or within the packaging, you’ll find custom illustrations for each flavor that depict whatever environment might be nearest to you: from cities to wilderness to beaches, and encouraging you to explore it!
