The Working Assembly is a creative-led agency specializing in brand design, campaign development, and production. Our clients range from emerging startups to Fortune 100 companies — as a member of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to work across a range of projects and industries.

We are currently expanding our Brand Management team and are seeking a full-time Account Director to join our team. At The Working Assembly, members of the Brand Management team are responsible for managing projects, driving timelines, and cultivating strong working relationships across the internal and client teams alike.  

As an Account Director, you will be responsible for leading key pieces of business, and holistically managing your own projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate has experience working with cross-functional agency teams through the advertising, creative development, and production processes — and has an appetite to further their experience managing brand design projects.

Key Characteristics

  • 8-10 years of experience within an advertising, design, or marketing agency
  • Previous experience in healthcare/pharma and/or beauty is a plus
  • Demonstrate confidence, authority, and solid decision-making as the agency’s leadership voice
  • Foster a healthy, open work environment that balances personal and creative growth
  • Ability to build and manage strong relationships with senior clients
  • Experience managing, mentoring, and growing teams internally
  • Able to both sustain current business and grow current client business

Key Responsibilities

Client Partnership

  • Experience managing multiple complex client relationships at one time
  • Develop and monitor scopes and burn reports to ensure appropriate team burn rate and agency profitability

Team Collaboration

  • Communicate proactively with management on project workflows, and provide strategic point of view on any issues
  • Ability to creatively problem solve to fix any potential issues
  • Work with Strategy to transform knowledge of client business objectives, internal and competitive opportunities, and consumer insights into actionable marketing communications strategies and tactics
  • Provide oversight of agency resourcing to ensure projects are running as efficiently as possible

Agency Development

  • Takes on formal oversight roles of Senior Account Manager, Account Managers, Associate Account Managers, and interns, contributing to their growth and development
  • Contribute to hiring and growth of brand team
  • Support in scope writing and new business development

Growth Opportunities

  • Serve as an oversight role to guide key business streams, overseeing Senior Account Managers and Account Managers who lead day to day communications
  • Recognize and seize opportunities to contribute to agency new business efforts/RFPs
  • Lead creation of proposals for new work for new and existing clients
  • Continuing to foster relationships with senior clients
  • Contribute to the growth of TWA’s business, with both new and existing clients
  • Develop and improve upon internal processes, contributing to smoother running of agency operations

Salary Range $100,000-$150,000 depending on level of experience
